Visa

Hungary is part of the Schengen Area of 26 European countries. For non-Schengen EU, USA and Canadian citizens a valid passport is sufficient to enter Hungary. Citizens of other countries should check whether visa is needed for them when entering Hungary (for more information please visit the home page of the Hungarian Consular Service (www.konzuliszolgalat.kormany.hu) On request, the Congress Secretariat will issue invitation letters for visa applications. Please apply in due time for a visa if necessary and note that visa application takes 30-60 days and personal procedure is necessary. If you need an invitation letter to obtain visa or funding, etc, please contact the conference bureau. These invitation letters will only be sent upon receipt of the shipping costs and registration fee.

By Plane

Budapest has direct flight connection with every capital of Europe and other major cities and hubs in Europe and world-wide as well. Most of the major Airlines are presented in Budapest. Any point in the world can be reached to and from Budapest. Liszt Ferenc airport has three terminals roughly 28 kilometers from the city. Since 2004 several low cost airlines have been running their flights between Budapest and the large European cities (Wizzair, Germanwings, EasyJet, Air Baltic, Jet2, etc).

By Train

Budapest is connected to the European railway system. There are direct railway links between Budapest and 13 capital cities of Europe and 47 international scheduled trains arrive daily in Budapest. Many international trains have dining and sleeping cars or couchettes. Most international express trains arrive and depart from the Eastern (Keleti) Railway Station. www.mavcsoport.hu

How to get to the Workshop Venue?

From Budapest: motorway M7 - route 71 toward Balatonfüred/Tihany-leaving Balatonfüred about 4 miles take the road to the left toward Tihany rév-along the waterfront road after approx. 3 miles you'll see the entrance of the guesthouse.

From Keszthely: route 71 toward Balatonfüred/Tihany-after leaving Aszófő take the third road ont he right toward Tihany rév-along the waterfront road after approx. 3 miles you'll see the entrance of the guesthouse.

From Győr: route 82 as far as Veszprém-route 73 Csopak- route 71 Balatonfüred/Tihany- leaving Balatonfüred about 4 miles take the road to the left toward Tihany rév-along the waterfront road after approx. 3 miles you'll see the entrance of the guesthouse.

By Direct Transfer

By Train/bus

No direct railway connection to the capital, please take a train from Budapest to Balatonfüred.

From Balatonfüred to Tihany:
the bus stop Nr 3 next the railway station toward Tihany as far as the ship station. After 300 meters walk you reach the guesthouse.

Free bus transfer will be organised to main train arrivals and departures as follows:

  • Thursday, 6 April 2017: from Balatonfüred Railway Station to Workshop Venue at 10:00 / 14:00 / 18:00
  • Sunday, 9 April 2017: From Workshop venue to Balatonfüred Railway Station at 06:30 / 13:30 / 15:30

Insurance

The registration fees do not include provision for the insurance of participants against personal accidents, illness, cancellation, theft, property loss or damage. Participants are advised to take adequate personal travel insurance.
